Albert Adrià was born in 1969 in the neighborhood of Santa Eulalia (Barcelona). In 1985 he decided to leave school and become part of the team at elBulli. In collaboration with Oriol Castro and Ferran, year after year, he would work on the menus for the following season. This turned elBulli into a restaurant that would change its tendencies yearly.
Albert would soon leave the restaurant to direct the Bullitaller, the workshop in conjunction with Oriol and Ferran, all three working together as one.
In April 2013, he opens Pakta, a Nikkei restaurant, fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. Albert is recognized that November by TIME magazine as one of 13 most influential people in the world of gastronomy. In November 2014, Pakta is awarded its first Michelin star.
